Doris "Granny D" Haddock, American Patriot
Sandy/I had the opportunity to meet “Granny” with her bizarrely colorful van in a parking lot at Florida’s capital, Tallahassee, three years ago. She was old. She wasn’t eccentric—she was clear-headed and as determined to bring about campaign reform as I am about equality. I reveled in meeting with her. Then, I got in my car. She got in her bus, and we both drove off. Now, she’s dead.
We will miss her. Just like we miss the fire and sheer guts and drive of Cindy Sheehan. They made a Difference. WE--you and I--must pick up the cudgel. I will, will YOU?
